COCO'S PLACE

Hi. My name is Coco. I live in Tucson, Arizona. My mom is Lynn of Cherokee Dreams, co-owner of The Wild Frontier website competition and Team Leader of the Native Pride team. I'm sure a lot of you know her. She has been wanting to give me my own site for a while now and guess what...Here I am.



I came to live with Mom in November 2001. I was a stray, picked up by a friend of mom's. Mom had originally wanted a Pekinese, as she had lost her dog after 17 years, but I quickly got to her with my "sparkling personality". I'm a half-breed, half Chihuahua and half Pekinese (originally thought to be Chihuahua and Pomeranian, but the vet told us otherwise) and about 2 years old mom says.

Before moving to Arizona, I lived out in the country There was always plenty of excitment. I'm pretty nosy, so every time I heard something, I jumped up in the recliner and looked out the window to see what's going on. Generally nothing, but I still had to make sure all is well. There were lots of other dogs running around the neighborhood, deer, squirrels, birds and from my lookout on our front porch, I could see everything going on. Below is a picture of where I used to live. Mom doesn't have any pictures yet of me and our apartment in Tucson, but she will get them up some day.





Mom likes it when I smile. Yes, you heard right. I smile. Generally, big toothy grins when I am happy, ear to ear. In fact, in the photo of me above, I'm smiling. Can you see it??? I also dance and leap high in the air. Generally, for a treat.

I love to ride in the car. Mom rolls the window down and I stick my head out and let the wind blow in my face, ears flapping. She usually takes me somewhere a couple of times a week. My favorite spot used to be the BP gas station. The staff there gave me chicken strips when I came to visit. You should see me get excited. Wow!!!! Chicken strips. That is the highlight of my week. My favorite spot now is going to grandma's house.

I'm cold-blooded by nature, so I like to sleep under the covers with mom during the winter. I like to do it in the summer too, but mom doesn't like it. Says it gets too hot... I jump on the bed at night and pull up the comforter and lay under that right next to mom. It's nice and warm. I will also wrap myself up in a blanket on the couch or chair when I get cold.

There will be more pictures added and more about me coming. I hope you enjoyed my place and will come back again. This will be a work in progress as I have many adventures.
